Do You Have a Full Team?

Jul 7, 2025    Pastor Matt Lundy

You don’t win championships with one position—you win with a full team. The same is true for the Church.

In Ephesians 4, Paul lays out a blueprint for a thriving, unified church: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers—five gifts working together to equip the body and build it up in love. But too often, we rely on a few voices while others go unused or unnoticed.

What if the growth you’re praying for is sitting quietly in your pews, just waiting to be called into the game?

This message is a call to evaluate your team, activate the overlooked, and equip every gift God has placed in your house. Because if we want our churches to be healthy, mature, and unified—we need the full team on the field.

Reflection Questions:

Q1: Which of the five gifts from Ephesians 4 are currently active in your church?

Q2: Are there any gifts you've overlooked, resisted, or undervalued because of past experiences?

Q3: Do you recognize any of these giftings in people who aren’t currently in leadership roles?

Application: Ask God to reveal the gifts He’s already placed in your church. Then take a step this month to develop or empower someone new on the team.
