God's Love Story

Angela Everett

This Bible study shares the story of Ruth to teach us 3 important things about God's love: God never discriminates, God values men and women equally, and God uses unlikely people to fulfill His purposes.

Discussion Guide:

Ice Breaker: Introduce yourself and share this week's highs and lows (the best part of your week and the lowest part of your week.)

Q1: Have you ever felt discriminated against or devalued merely because you were born a certain way? If so, has that experience changed the way you see others that are different from you?

Q2: What are some tangible ways we can reflect on God’s crazy love for His children, especially those who are marginalized in our society?

Q3: In your opinion, do you think the body of Christ is loving and valuing all people the way God intends? If change is needed, what suggestions would you make?

Q4: Can you think of other “unlikely” heroes that God used for His purposes?

Q5: How does knowing that God delights in using unlikely people to accomplish great things make you feel about Him working in your life?

Call to Action: Christians should live like a river, taking in spiritual nourishment and then passing that nourishment along to others. What is one thing you have learned about God from the book of Ruth that you can pass on to someone else?
